Interactive Weather Map

  • Weather & Alerts now opens with the Satellite + Radar view selected.
  • Added county boundary lines plus mouse-wheel and on-map zoom controls for a closer or wider view of regional weather.
  • Map-wheel zoom is intentionally limited so normal use does not create an excessive number of map requests.
  • Simplified the five-day forecast heading by removing its repeated provider label.
  • Removed the extra Weather information footer panel to keep the page focused and compact.
  • Added a full-screen control in the radar's upper-right corner so members can expand the map and exit with the same button or the Escape key.
  • Members can now hold the left mouse button and drag the weather map to explore nearby areas; the map loads its new geographic center after release.
  • Added a soft white outline using the official Martin County boundary so the club's home county remains easy to identify while viewing, dragging, zooming, or expanding the weather map.
  • The radar panel now sizes itself to each member's available screen height and contains the complete map image, reducing page scrolling and preventing cropping across different screen sizes.
  • Added official county-name labels for 52 counties within approximately 80 miles of Martin County, including nearby areas of Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky; labels appear at Zoom 8 and 9 to remain readable.
  • Added a custom local place overlay using official Census locations: important regional cities appear at Zoom 9, incorporated towns near Martin County appear at Zoom 10, and smaller nearby communities appear at Zoom 11.
  • Place labels automatically avoid overlapping one another, while out-of-state locations include their state abbreviation for clarity.
  • Added interstate and major-highway lines to every weather-map view so members can relate approaching weather to familiar travel routes.
  • Reduced the Martin County highlight's visual intensity by roughly half so it identifies the county without distracting from the weather imagery.
  • The Latest radar and Satellite + Radar frames now request a fresh image every minute while the page remains visible, pause background requests in hidden tabs, and refresh when a member returns.

Weather Page Layout Improvements

  • Weather & Alerts now stays within the available screen width instead of making members scroll the entire page sideways.
  • The hourly forecast and radar timeline remain easy to use on narrower screens without stretching the rest of the Member Hub.
  • Removed the large repeated page heading so the live radar appears near the top, with the update time and Refresh button kept inside the radar panel.
  • Removed the remaining top spacing from Weather & Alerts so more of the radar is visible immediately when the page opens.

Live Weather Updates

  • Weather & Alerts now requests the latest available conditions, hourly forecast, five-day outlook, and official alerts whenever a member visits the page.
  • The last successful weather update remains safely stored and is used only when a live weather service is temporarily unavailable.

Weather Connection Reliability

  • Corrected how the Hub reads Xweather current-condition responses so successful readings no longer appear blank.
  • Weather requests now identify the club website to Xweather for application-namespace checks.
  • If Xweather rejects a request, the page now distinguishes incorrect credentials, namespace or plan restrictions, and usage-limit problems instead of showing only a generic unavailable message.
  • The weather page now also recognizes Xweather error messages returned inside a standard API response, preventing an authorization error from looking like an empty forecast.
  • Verified the club's Xweather account with a successful live conditions request and corrected the specific response location that was leaving the Weather page empty.

Live Weather Dashboard

  • Expanded Weather & Alerts with a large near-real-time Martin County radar map, alert boundaries, satellite, temperature, and wind views.
  • Members can play the previous 50 minutes of radar or select an individual frame, while animation frames load only on request to conserve the club's map allowance.
  • Added a 12-hour forecast plus dew point, cloud cover, and UV information alongside current conditions and the five-day outlook.

Weather & Alerts

  • Added a new Weather & Alerts page with current Martin County conditions, a five-day forecast, and official National Weather Service active alerts.
  • Weather information refreshes when members visit the page and is safely shared for five minutes, keeping conditions current without wasting the club's API allowance.
  • The Xweather credentials remain private on the server and are never sent to members' browsers.
