What to expect

Arrive by the listed check-in time. The testing team will verify the session paperwork and explain the examination process. You may select more than one exam element when registering; actual attempts depend on the session and test-team procedures.

MCARC’s examination is free. Official VEC and FCC paperwork remains separate from this registration.

What to bring

Bring the identification, license evidence, and prior examination-credit documents requested by the testing team. Requirements can vary by coordinating VEC, so review the confirmation and session-specific checklist before arriving.

Getting your FCC Registration Number

An FCC Registration Number (FRN) is a 10-digit identifier used for FCC filings. Register through the official CORES system. If you need help, you can reserve your place first by choosing “I need help obtaining an FRN.”
