How is the HF Nets page generated?
Administrators refresh the directory from Indiana entries in NetLogger's HF net rosters.
The HF Nets page began with club-reviewed NetLogger records. Those original listings and their historical evidence are kept. An administrator can start a NetLogger refresh from HF Net administration; there is no automatic weekly schedule. Each refresh looks back 14 days, examines closed HF net rosters, and records stations whose roster State is IN (Indiana). It uses those dated entries to refresh existing nets and add newly found nets. The administrator page shows progress while the paced scan runs, which may take several hours. A net's name, band, frequency, and mode come from the available records; a dated roster time is historical activity, not a confirmed recurring schedule.
The page shows the latest Indiana roster activity and links to source rosters. Member check-in reports are separate from NetLogger evidence. A roster listing indicates that an Indiana station appeared in the net's check-in list; it does not prove an on-air contact or guarantee that you can reach the net from your location.
After successful overlapping scans have covered at least 35 days, a published net with Indiana history is moved out of the member directory if its latest Indiana roster entry is more than 35 days old. It is archived, not deleted: its details and past evidence remain available to administrators. If a later scan finds Indiana activity for a net archived by this system, it returns to the directory. A failed or unfinished scan does not trigger archiving. A gap of more than 14 days between successful scans resets archive coverage, so a long gap between manual refreshes cannot be mistaken for proof of inactivity. The page changes when an administrator requests and completes a refresh, so its information may be older if no recent refresh has been run or NetLogger is unavailable.
